Saturdays are for sleep ins and for cocktails! At least at my house.
And with travel always on my mind these days, this weekend I'm drawing drink inspiration from this elegant 20th Century cocktail, photographed beautifully by @in_love_with_drinks.
The recipe for this classic cocktail was first published in 1937, and was created in honor of the 20th Century Limited Express passenger train that ran between New York City and Chicago for about 65 years. At the time it was considered a luxurious, First Class transport, and among other opulent amenities, it featured a dining car that transformed after the final meal into nightclub Café Century! That's my kind of train trip.
So as we all eagerly wait to board our next train/plane/boat/bus/whatever will take us to the places we miss and dream about, I'm gonna keep trying to find ways to satisfy my wanderlust. And a yummy drink in hand seems like a decent way to do it!
