Who here is doing ‘Dry January’?

I am not.

I’ve done it. I support it. I understand it. I have no judgment about it. It’s just not something that I personally do.

However, I have lots of friends who participate in Dry January religiously from year to year (or Dry July in other parts of the world), and a number of people in my life who don’t drink at all. Not to mention the fact that since the start of the pandemic, research shows that the low to no alcohol beverage trend has exploded in every major country around the world and shows no sign of slowing down.

So although cocktails and wine are my jam, I’ve been inspired by this growing trend and by the people in my life who are either temporarily or totally booze-free, and have made it a goal in 2022 to create and share more drinks that a) can be mixed with or without alcohol and b) are just as tasty and pretty with booze as they are without!

First up: this coconut water-based mocktail that tastes fresh and clean, and looks elegant in your glass. I challenge you to sip this one and not have your pinkies in the air!

And for anyone who wants to make this into a cocktail instead, I recommend keeping all of the proportions the same and simply adding 2 oz of Gin (or Vodka if Gin isn’t your thing)!
