Apples and Autumn go hand in hand, which makes this apple-forward cocktail one you'll be drinking all throughout the season.

Apples and Autumn go hand and hand, so when I saw this recipe by Liber and Co. I knew I had to try it thanks to all of its apple-y goodness. Everything about it shouts “Fall” to me, and with a trip up to North Georgia's Mercier Orchards already on the books, I made a point to pick up some extra hard cider while there specifically to make this drink.

If you like apples, then this cocktail is for you! It's light, refreshing, and bursting with apple flavor, making it the perfect sipper to pair with a beautiful Fall day.

Apples All the Way Down

Apples and Autumn go hand in hand, which makes this apple-forward cocktail one you'll be drinking all throughout the season.

Yields:

1 Drink

Ingredients:

1 oz Apple Brandy

½ oz Grenadine

½ oz Fresh Lemon Juice

2 Dashes Angostura Bitters

4 oz Sparkling Hard Apple Cider

Garnish: Sprig of Rosemary

Instructions:

Add Brandy, grenadine, lemon juice, and bitters to a glass of your choice and stir to combine. Fill glass with ice, top with Hard Cider, and give a gentle stir. Slap a sprig of fresh rosemary between your palmsto release its oils and garnish.

Recipe Note: Not all grenadine and Hard Cider is created equal, so play around with the ratios to find the right sweet-tart balance for you. After testing this recipe about 4 different ways, the only change I ended up making to the original recipe was to reduce the amount of grenadine a touch because the Apple Brandy I have on hand is a bit sweet. For reference, I used Liber & Co.'s Real Grenadine, which has a much more natural fruit flavor than others on the market, and Mercier Orchards Old No. 3 Hard Cider.
