Like the moon, honor all of your phases. Sometimes, you must contract, go inward, and seek solace in your own inner world. Sometimes, you’re called to expand, reach outward, and shine your light fearlessly for all to see. And often, you exist in the in-between, finding balance in connecting to the light within and spreading that light outside of yourself. But in all of your phases – in your contraction and expansion – there is never a moment where you are not exactly where you’re meant to be. Never is your light not enough. ~Zanna Keithley
Contracting. Expanding. Balancing.I like this analogy. Even though I don’t personally experience each of these phases equally, it makes sense to me.Contraction is where I’m most comfortable. My head down. Working hard. Forever trying to muster the courage I need for those (much rarer) phases of fearless expansion.
Yet despite the imbalance in these experiences, I do believe that I am always exactly where I’m meant to be. Not because it feels that way, because Lord knows it usually doesn’t. But because life has proven time and time again that it’s true.
