Classic margarita in a salt-rimmed glass garnished with an orange twist, simple margarita recipe, cocktails with tequila, best cocktails

It's National Margarita Day, y'all! And that, my friends, calls for a celebration.

When it comes to this year-round fave, you can't go wrong with a classic Margarita: a touch of sweet, a lot of tart, and ohhhhh, so refreshing! So in honor of this very important national holiday, I've chosen to celebrate with this beauty from @carolinaverbena. It's a classic Marg with a fresh Florida twist, and I bet you a dollar that you can't drink just one!

COCKTAIL: Rainy Day Margarita

2 oz Silver Tequila

1 oz Fresh lime juice

1 oz Fresh orange juice

1 oz Agave nectar

Garnish: Orange twist

Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a glass of your choice. (You can serve this drink up or over ice, and in a salt-rimmed glass or not -- whatever your style!) Top with a splash of club soda for a bit of spritz and garnish with a twist of orange.

MAKE IT A MOCKTAIL: For an alcohol-free version of this drink, I suggest you leave out the Tequila, double the juice ratios, serve over ice, and top with either regular or citrus-flavored club soda.
