It's the weekend! And it's a gorgeous day here in Georgia, which means I'm ready for a rare winter cocktail hour on the patio!
Created by @the.boozy.ginger, this Sparkling Maple & Grapefruit Margarita has my name written alllll over it. With grapefruit in season here, it would be rude not to enjoy it in every way, shape, and form.
COCKTAIL: Sparkling Maple & Grapefruit Margarita
1 1/2 oz Tequila
1/2 oz Maple syrup
1/2 oz Fresh lime juice
1/2 oz Fresh grapefruit juice
2 oz Prosecco
Garnish: Grapefruit slice and a fresh rosemary sprig
Combine Tequila, maple syrup, lime juice, and grapefruit juice in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a glass with crushed ice. Top with Prosecco and garnish with a grapefruit slice and a sprig of fresh rosemary.
MAKE IT A MOCKTAIL: For a non-boozy version of this drink, I suggest you leave out the Tequila, double the juice ratios, and swap the Prosecco for sparkling water. I think a citrus sparkling water like Grapefruit La Croix would be the perfect replacement!
