Apples All the Way Down

Apples and Autumn go hand in hand, which makes this apple-forward cocktail one you'll be drinking all throughout the season.

Yields:

1 Drink

Ingredients:

1 oz Apple Brandy

½ oz Grenadine

½ oz Fresh Lemon Juice

2 Dashes Angostura Bitters

4 oz Sparkling Hard Apple Cider

Garnish: Sprig of Rosemary

Instructions:

Add Brandy, grenadine, lemon juice, and bitters to a glass of your choice and stir to combine. Fill glass with ice, top with Hard Cider, and give a gentle stir. Slap a sprig of fresh rosemary between your palmsto release its oils and garnish.

Recipe Note: Not all grenadine and Hard Cider is created equal, so play around with the ratios to find the right sweet-tart balance for you. After testing this recipe about 4 different ways, the only change I ended up making to the original recipe was to reduce the amount of grenadine a touch because the Apple Brandy I have on hand is a bit sweet. For reference, I used Liber & Co.'s Real Grenadine, which has a much more natural fruit flavor than others on the market, and Mercier Orchards Old No. 3 Hard Cider.
