Best Frozen Piña Colada Recipe: Get Ready to Blend & Sip!

Looking for a refreshing cocktail to cool you down or transport you to the tropics? Look no further than this easy Frozen Piña Colada recipe. With just a few ingredients and a blender, you’ll be feeling all the island feels in no time!

Yields:

1 Drink

Ingredients:

1 ½ oz Light Rum

½ oz Dark Rum

1 oz Cream of Coconut

2 oz Pineapple Juice

1 oz Coconut Milk

½ cup Pineapple, diced and frozen

½ oz Lime Juice

1 cup Ice

Garnish: Pineapple Fronds (or slice) and a Maraschino Cherry

Instructions:

Begin by cutting your fresh pineapple into bite-sized chunks and then spreading them out evenly on a baking sheet.

Place the sheet into the freezer and allow the pineapple to freeze for approximately 3 hours.

Once the pineapple is frozen, add the ice and pineapple chunks to a blender.

Briefly blend the mixture until it is chunky.

Add the remaining ingredients and continue blending until the mixture is smooth and creamy.

Finally, pour your Frozen Piña Colada into your preferred cocktail glass and add a garnish to finish.

Recipe Notes:

If you don’t have a blender, not to worry! You can make a non-frozen Piña Colada in a cocktail shaker instead. Start by muddling the pineapple in the bottom of your tin. Add ice and all of the remaining ingredients. Shake until super cold. Dump the entire mixture – including the ice! – into a cocktail glass of your choice and top with more ice if needed. Garnish as desired.
