Hugo Spritz Recipe: A Sparkling Elderflower Cocktail

Looking for a refreshing and delicious cocktail to enjoy on a hot summer day? Look no further than this Hugo Spritz recipe! Quick and easy-to-make, this cocktail is light, refreshing, and perfect for any occasion.

Yields:

1 Drink

Ingredients:

1 oz Elderflower Liqueur

4 oz Prosecco

1 oz Club Soda

5-10 mint leaves

Garnish: Mint and lemon or lime wheels

Instructions:

Begin by adding the Elderflower Liqueur and some mint leaves to the bottom of a large wine glass. Lightly muddle the mint to release its aromatic oils.

Next, fill the glass with ice and pour in the Prosecco.

Top off the drink with sparkling water and then gently stir to combine.

Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint and lemon slices or lime slices. Just make sure to lightly clap the mint between your hands to release its fragrant oils before placing in the glass!

Recipe Notes:

Although the Hugo Spritz original recipe calls for Prosecco, feel free to use any sparkling wine you like. I often use Spanish Cava because I prefer a Hugo Spritz that’s not too sweet, but any bubbly will work. You just have to experiment to find the style of sparkling that suits your personal taste!
