A holiday tipple, “Southern” style! This passion fruit-forward Rum cocktail evokes Christmas vibes in the Southern Hemisphere and vacation vibes for those of us up “north.”
1 oz Coconut Rum
1 ½ oz Passion Fruit Liqueur
1 oz Lime Juice
½ oz Orgeat
Splash of Sparkling Wine
Garnish: Lime twist
Combine all ingredients except the sparkling wine in a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake until cold. Strain into a coupe glass, top with sparkling wine, and garnish.
For a tarter drink, you can substitute White Rum for Coconut Rum – both are delicious! You can also leave out the bubbles if you’re not a sparkling wine fan, it’s there more for fizz and festivity than for flavor.
