Fall is in the air and nothing says Autumn quite like apple cider! It adds a perfect seasonal touch in this Mezcal Margarita that will warm you up and have you coming back for more.
2 oz Mezcal
1 oz Lime Juice
¼ oz Maple Syrup
2 oz Apple Cider
Rim: Dark brown sugar, cinnamon & ground ginger
Garnish: Apple sticks
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake until cold. Strain into a sugar-rimmed glass filled with ice and garnish.
While the maple syrup adds a lovely touch of richness to the drink, feel free to use simple syrup or agave if you prefer.
My ratio for the sugar mixture is 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon and 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger per 1 tablespoon of dark brown sugar.
