Yields:

1 Drink

Ingredients:

2 oz Tequila

ยผ oz Cointreau

1 oz Lime Juice

ยผ oz Blueberry Simple Syrup

6 oz Watermelon Juice

1 sprig Mint

Garnish: Blueberries and Mint

Instructions:

Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake until cold. Strain into a cocktail glass filled with ice and garnish with blueberries and mint. Make sure to first give your mint a nice, hard smack between your palms to release its aromas!

โ€

Recipe Notes:

๐Ÿ‰ To make the watermelon juice, simply puree fresh watermelon in a blender until itโ€™s in liquid form! You can then strain out the solids or not, itโ€™s completely up to you. I strained mine.

โ€

๐Ÿ‰ It takes about 1 ยฝ - 1 ยพ cups of fresh watermelon to equal 6 oz of strained juice. If you're not straining your juice it will yield more.

โ€

๐Ÿ‰ The mint that gets shaken into the drink is to add a bit of freshness. No need to muddle it unless you want to.๏ฟฝ

โ€

๐Ÿ‰ If you donโ€™t want to make blueberry simple syrup, agave is the best substitute! I think regular simple syrup is too sweet.

โ€

๐Ÿ‰ Feel free to throw some blueberries into the drink (muddled or not) as well if you want more blueberry flavor!
