One last cocktail of 2022!
Perfect for New Year’s Eve celebrations, New Year’s Day brunch, or any time you’re looking for something bright and fresh to sip on, this Blackberry Champagne Cocktail is super delicious and effortless to make. And it can easily be turned into a mocktail simply by swapping the sparkling wine for ginger ale or ginger beer!
But the best part about it is that the blackberry syrup is extremely versatile. You can mix it into all sorts of cocktails (think: Margaritas, Old Fashioneds, Martinis, Mojitos, Mimosas, and so many more!), use it on pancakes, waffles, or french toast, drizzle it over desserts like ice cream, cheesecake, and pound cake, add it to lemonade, sparking water, or iced/hot tea….the list goes on!
It’s almost time now to ring in a new year….here’s to making these last moments of 2022 count!

Blackberry Champagne Fizz

Description
Festive and fun, this Blackberry Champagne Fizz cocktail makes the perfect accompaniment to Sunday Brunch, Happy Hour hangouts, and all things New Year’s Eve!
Ingredients
FOR THE COCKTAIL:
- 5–6 oz Sparkling Wine
- ¾ oz Blackberry Syrup
- 1 dash Angostura Bitters
- Garnish: Blackberries and a sprig of rosemary
FOR THE SYRUP:
- 2 cups Fresh Blackberries
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 cup Water
- 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
Instructions
FOR THE COCKTAIL:
- Add the blackberry syrup to the bottom of a glass.
- Top with Sparkling Wine and bitters.
- Give a gentle stir and garnish.
FOR THE SYRUP:
- Combine the sugar and water in a saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring often until the sugar has dissolved.
- Add the blackberries and bring the mixture to a boil.
- Mash the berries to release all of their juices and simmer for 10-15 minutes.
- Remove from the heat and let sit for another 15 minutes.
- Strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer and then stir in the lemon juice.
