    1. Yay! I love this pie so much and the crust is super versatile. It’s delicious with Fall pies like sweet potato, apple, and pumpkin as well. 😋

    1. Why thank you very much, that’s so nice of you to say! I definitely enjoy a good laugh and try not to take myself too seriously. 😀 Thank you so much for being a Parched reader, I truly appreciate your support! 🤍

  1. This recipe is a winner! I made it for Easter and there wasn’t a crumb left. I think it’s the perfect balance between tart and sweet. Glad you spent so much time testing recipes because now I benefit from it!

    1. Woooo hoooo! I’m thrilled this pie was an Easter Sunday success. 😀 Too many Key Lime Pie recipes are overly sweet, so striking the right balance between tart and sweet was a huge priority for me. Very glad you felt it hit the mark, thanks for your nice feedback!

  2. This recipe was perfect! I have never commented on a recipe before, but after making and tasting this pie, I had to leave a comment 🙂 I have been looking for a key lime pie recipe for quite some time, and since I have never found one that I could get excited about, I have never attempted making one on my own. Like your mom, I happen to be a key lime pie critic lol. There is one restaurant that I found that serves my favorite key lime pie, and it is a rare occasion that I will even try a slice at any other restaurant since I’m usually left disappointed 🙁 This year for my birthday, my daughter decided to attempt making me a key lime pie. I scoured the internet for a recipe that looked like it could be comparable. Pecans in the crust was a must, along with a balance between the sweet-tart flavor as well as not being too dense. Well, my daughter made it yesterday and here we are a day later without a piece left! It was absolutely perfect! Thank you for sharing this delicious recipe! We will definitely be making this again!

    1. Oh my gosh, this comment has me grinning from ear to ear! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I couldn’t be happier to hear that this recipe met your expectations and that it didn’t ruin your birthday. 😆 Once you’ve had a perfect slice of Key Lime pie at your favorite restaurant like you have, it becomes tough to find a comparable one. And Key Lime seems to be one of those pies that SO many people/places get wrong. (I just had a friend visit recently and she ordered a slice at a place here in GA that is “famous” for their KLP and it had gelatin in it…) Like you, I’ve been so disappointed more often than not, which is exactly why I set out to come up with a recipe that came as close as possible to my mom’s favorite. We love this one in our house, so I’m thrilled to know you now love it in yours! And yes, those pecans in the crust are a must. 😀😋 I really appreciate you taking a moment to leave a comment — you have no idea what a boost it gave me to read! Thanks again, and happy belated birthday to you!

  3. Incredible! I stumbled across this recipe trying to recreate my favorite key lime pie with pecan graham cracker crust from a restaurant called Rumba on Long Island, and this recipe absolutely nailed it.

    Definitely saving this. Thanks Allie!

    1. Reading this comment put the biggest smile on my face! First, because you found a delicious Key Lime Pie on Long Island (I used to live in NYC and am making note of this restaurant for when I get back to the city and out to Long Island to see family) and second because this recipe tastes how you wanted it to! I love that and SO appreciate you taking the time to tell me. Thank you so much!

  4. I’ve made this pie two times in the past two months to serve dinner guests. It’s delicious and got rave reviews! I was suspicious of the beating times for the eggs and the prep obviously takes longer than the recipe on the bottle of key lime juice, but the results are worth it. I’ve been putting toasted pecans into my graham cracker crusts for ages to get more texture and your recipe popped up when I searched for a KLP with a pecan graham cracker crust! This is one of my favorite desserts. Thanks for the recipe!

    1. I can’t thank you enough for this wonderful comment, Jude! It made me so happy not only to know that you’re enjoying this recipe, but that you love pecans in your crust the way that I do! Great minds. 😁 I take my Key Lime Pie very seriously and totally agree that the extra bit of work is TOTALLY worth it in the end! 😋 Your message is also quite timely because I’m planning to make this pie next week for a friend’s birthday and if time allows I will update the post with new pictures and more thorough information. I’m not changing the recipe because I like it just the way it is, I just want to give this recipe post a total revamp soon. Thanks again for your kind words and for taking the time to leave a comment, it means more to me than you know!
