Description

Apples and Autumn go hand in hand, which makes this Apples All the Way Down cocktail one you’ll be drinking all throughout the season.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz Apple Brandy
  • ½ oz Grenadine
  • ½ oz Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 2 Dashes Angostura Bitters
  • 4 oz Sparkling Hard Apple Cider
  • Garnish: Sprig of Rosemary

Instructions

  1. Add Brandy, grenadine, lemon juice, and bitters to a glass of your choice and stir to combine.
  2. Fill glass with ice, top with Hard Cider, and give a gentle stir.
  3. Slap a sprig of fresh rosemary between your palm to release its oils and garnish.

Notes

  • Not all grenadine and Hard Cider is created equal, so play around with the ratios to find the right sweet-tart balance for you. After testing this recipe about 4 different ways, the only change I ended up making to the original recipe was to reduce the amount of grenadine a touch because the Apple Brandy I have on hand is a bit sweet. For reference, I used Liber & Co.’s Real Grenadine, which has a much more natural fruit flavor than others on the market, and Mercier Orchards Old No. 3 Hard Cider.
