Description

This Ouzo Lemonade recipe combines the distinct anise flavor of Greece’s signature spirit with fresh lemon juice, honey, and mint. Finished with a splash of sparkling water, it’s a quick and refreshing cocktail that’s easy to make and perfect for hot summer days.

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces ouzo
  • 1 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/4 to 1/2 ounce honey (adjust to taste)
  • 4-5 large mint leaves
  • Sparkling water to top
  • Garnish: a fresh sprig of mint and/or a lemon slice

Instructions

  1. Add ouzo, lemon juice, honey, and mint to a cocktail shaker.
  2. Shake without ice for about 10-15 seconds.
  3. Pour the entire mixture into a tall glass filled with fresh ice.
  4. Top with a splash of sparkling water and stir gently.
  5. Garnish and serve.

Notes

  • Agave or simple syrup can be used instead of honey.
  • Use more or fewer mint leaves depending on how strong you want the mint flavor.
