Description

This strawberry ginger mocktail is fizzy, fresh, and full of flavor. Made with real strawberries, fresh ginger, tart lime, and spicy ginger beer, it’s one of those strawberry mocktail recipes you’ll come back to again and again.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe strawberries, sliced
  • 1/4 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 ounce simple syrup (or strawberry simple syrup)
  • small grate of fresh ginger
  • 4-5 ounces ginger beer
  • Garnish: Lime wheel and strawberry slices

Instructions

  1. In a cocktail glass, combine the sliced strawberries, simple syrup, lime juice, and fresh ginger.
  2. Use a muddler to press the ingredients until the strawberries are juicy and broken down.
  3. Fill the glass with ice.
  4. Pour in 4-5 ounces of ginger beer.
  5. Stir gently with a bar spoon to combine.
  6. Garnish and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Ginger ale can be used in place of ginger beer for a milder version of this strawberry ginger mocktail.
  • Thawed frozen berries work well if fresh ones aren’t available.
  • To make it a cocktail: Add 2 ounces of your favorite spirit and reduce the ginger beer to 2-3 ounces.
