Who needs tricks when you've got this treat to add some spooky deliciousness to your Halloween shenanigans!

Yields:

1 Drink

Ingredients:

FOR THE COCKTAIL:

2 oz Vodka

1 oz Coffee Liqueur

2 oz Pumpkin Spice Cream

FOR THE PUMPKIN SPICE CREAM:

1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream*

4 tablespoons Pumpkin Puree

2 tablespoons Maple Syrup*

1 teaspoon Pumpkin Pie Spice

1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Instructions:

FOR THE COCKTAIL:

Pour Vodka and Coffee Liqueur into a rocks glass and stir to combine. Fill glass with ice and top with pumpkin spice cream. Stir gently to give your drink this spooky, swirly effect!

FOR THE PUMPKIN SPICE CREAM:

Whisk together all ingredients in a pan and heat on the stove over medium heat until steaming. Remove from heat and cool for about 5-10 minutes in the fridge before using in your cocktail.

*RECIPE NOTES:

Feel free to use any dairy product of your choice to make the cream; however, you'll need something with a thicker consistency in order for it to float on top of the booze and make swirls in your cocktail.

Regular sugar is a fine substitute for the maple syrup, but will give you a significantly sweeter cream. I created about 7 variations of this potion before settling on this one, which I think actually tastes like pumpkin and has the right level of sweetness without overwhelming the drink.

This pumpkin spice cream is delicious in coffee, too, so if you're not a drinker or you have some leftover, use it to make your own faux PSLs at home!
